Cohesive Site Planning: The large outdoor area was divided into distinct yet connected zones - including the pool, maze, patio, and lawn - unified through consistent paving and decking
• Terrain Stabilization & Drainage: The uneven and marshy ground was regraded strategically to create level terraces for functional zones. A concealed drainage system and permeable decking and paving were incorporated to maintain soil stability.
• Optimized Sunlight Exposure: Seating, pool, and recreation areas were positioned to maximize sunlight during the day, while shaded pergolas and tree canopies were introduced for comfort during peak hours. Plant selection was also guided by light requirements to ensure healthy growth year-round.
• Pathway Integration: Walkways were designed as connecting spines, subtly guiding movement between functional areas. Changes in texture and planting borders define transitions without interrupting flow.
